Happy Monday, yet again
As a general rule, I hate Mondays and I hate mornings. Now when you combine the two that doesn’t make them better, it just makes it that much worse!
It was a very strange weekend and seemingly short also. I found out on Thursday that a friend of mine had passed away from cancer the week prior. I spent most of the weekend coming to terms with that. It hasn’t been easy but I am confident that he is with God now so all I can do is wait to join him.
It really brought the whole mortality thing home for me since he was younger than I am and didn’t smoke as much as I do. He was a pretty cool guy and he will be missed. I only wish I had had a chance to see him before he was gone.
Alright, back to that early morning thing. I don’t like ‘em so I am going back to bed now for a bit!
Jeff, please accept my sincere condolences. I, too, have been faced with the same issues lately and taking a long, hard look at how I’m living my life and wanting to make some changes.
I didn’t realize that you’d started back smoking… how are we going to quit? That’s my big thing.
It’s rough to find out after the fact when someone close dies, sometimes it’s easier to deal with when you are able to be around other mourners, as at a funeral. Sometimes.
